​I  am an author, lawyer, educator, mother—and, most importantly for this space, a lifelong student of the Bible.

Power Word grew out of something very simple: my love for God’s Word and my desire to understand what it means for the ordinary things we face every day.

Join me as we explore God’s Word and what it means for the lives we live every day.

Through Power Word, I share simple reflections as I learn, read, and look more closely at what Scripture is saying about family. Work. Waiting. Worry. Relationships. Disappointment. Joy. Difficult decisions. The ordinary days, and the days when we need to be reminded of what God has said.

My hope is that something you read here will encourage you to return to Scripture, see something you may not have noticed before, and carry a word from God with you into your day.
